Rev. Tony Johnson

Pastor Tony Johnson, also known as “Tony” is a man after God’s own heart.  On any given day you will find him doing what he loves to do the most and that’s sharing the word of God. He never meets a stranger, whether, dining, shopping or simply walking outdoors, he finds someone to share the word of God with.  

Born and raised in Kansas City, Tony attended the Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of his ”uncle” the late Pastor Melvin Broyle. Tony is the 12th child out of thirteen.
 

He is married to Edna Patrice Johnson of Kansas City, Mo. They have four children and eight wonderful grandchildren. 

Pastor Johnson accepted his calling in 1992 and served as an Associate Pastor for several years prior to his pastoral position. He is currently the proud Pastor of the First Baptist Church, Liberty, Missouri, where he has served since 2003.

Presently, Pastor Johnson serves as the 3rd Vice President of the State of Missouri and holds the office of President for the Congress of Christian Education for the Mt Zion District Association. Tony has also served as the 3rd Vice President of Christian Education for the State of Mo. And as Moderator & vice Moderator for the Mt Zion District Association. Pastor Johnson is affiliated with the Ministers Alliance in Liberty and the Baptist Minister’s Union in Kansas City.

 

Pastor Johnson has attended several bible colleges, Carver Baptist Theological Bible Institute, Faith Baptist College and received his Bachelors’ and Masters’ in Christian Education from Western Bible College. He also received his Master’s in Pastoral Theology He is a preacher, a teacher, and loves the Lord with all his heart, with all his might, and with all his soul.
